Blackfish placed 2nd of 4 teams in BC after a loss to the Nomads in the game for first seed at Nationals.

Blackfish 15 – Flatline 5

We got way up in the first half, but Flatline turned it way up in the second half.  Flatline is the Blackfish B team and will be competing at Nationals this year.

Blackfish 14 – Sofa Kings 7

Sofa Kings are the Okanagan guys and caught us off guard early on.  We made a ton of mental mistakes at the beginning of the game and found ourselves down 6-3.  We called a timeout and everyone refocused to go on an 11-1 run.  Wheeler had some huge grabs this game.

Blackfish 7 – Nomads 15

This game was for first seed at Nats.   This clearly wasn’t the same Nomads team that they had at Flowerbowl, but one more representative of the team that’s going to be at Nationals.  Several ex/current Furious players were on the team and at least one TFP guy.

We got the first point of the game on a break and traded points until 4-4.  Both teams played wide open ultimate with a lot of deep shots.  They got a few breaks in a row and the gap in the score slowly widened until it ended at 15-7.

The Nomads (or the Furiads as I heard someone call them) are definitely going to be the team to beat at Nats this year.
